My husband, Art and I, came across the Pro Death Penalty site quite by accident. Art was just "surfing the Net" one evening and found this site.

One of the discussions was about Dennis Dowthitt, the man that had murdered our two daughters, Gracie and Tiffany. We have stayed on this board just about every day since. We have met many wonderful people, both for and against the death penalty.
Lynne "Wonder Woman, and Royd "Grey Spirit, have been a constant source of inspiration. After a few months on this board, I came to the obvious conclusion that the Pro and Anti argument would never be settled. I asked for suggestions to help stop violent crime. There were many suggestions from everyone. Lynne, however, had the best and the simplest answer.
Thus, From Tears to Hope, New Beginnings began.
As for myself: Art and I will have been married 30 years come this June 12, 2001. We have 5 children, Stacy, Gracie, Art, Ted, and Tiffany. Gracie and Tiffany are in heaven. We also have 4 grandchildren, Jake, Elena, Taylor ReAnn, and Lindsey. I must not forget Foxy our little half and half Sheltie dog. We all live in Texas. Both Art and I have no political views either way.
We are Christian and have a great faith in God. My hope is for this foundation to grow and circle the world giving children and adults alike the hope that things can get better through love, education, and understanding.

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry
Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine
She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder and the rain
To quietly pass me by
Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine
Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Sweet child o' mine... |
